Hi — I’m Chris, the founder of TradeTech.

For over 21 years, I worked in local government in Yorkshire as a coder and programmer, building and maintaining websites and digital services. That included creating and supporting school websites for local authorities — experience that taught me how important it is for a website to be reliable, accessible, and easy for real people to use.

TradeTech started in a very familiar way. I helped a couple of family members get their business websites properly set up. Once the basics were in place, I began introducing practical AI-driven features to save them time, improve customer communication, and reduce everyday admin.

The results were genuinely impressive — and it made something click. Lots of small businesses could benefit from modern websites and AI tools, but most don’t have the time, interest, or patience to wade through complex tech or agency jargon. That’s why I created TradeTech.

Outside of work, I’m a husband and a dad to two kids — which probably explains why I’m big on building things that are practical, efficient, and worth your time.
